RSC LOCUS

RSC LOCUS is a grain sorghum variety (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) characterized by early maturity and intended for grain production. The plant is short or of medium height, with a pyramidal or symmetrical spike of medium length and loose density. The grain is elliptical, light yellow or straw-yellow in color, with a starchy endosperm, and a 1000-grain weight ranging from 22.7 to 27.9 grams. Protein content in the grain reaches 10.8%, and the hybrid contains no tannins, which positively affects product quality.

The variety is distinguished by early or medium heading time and high resistance to lodging, ensuring crop stability. Drought resistance is assessed as moderate, and bacterial blight may affect the plant to a high degree. RSC LOCUS is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Middle Volga, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga, with a maximum grain yield of up to 56.8 c/ha, confirming its high productivity and adaptability to climatic conditions.

The hybrid has good technological characteristics and excellent culinary rating, making it in demand for grain production. Light leaf coloration and weak or absent anthocyanin pigmentation of seedlings and styles indicate its genetic features. RSC LOCUS is suitable for intensive farming and ensures high economic efficiency thanks to stable yield and grain quality indicators.
