Rosa 'Ankus' is an early-maturing, universal variety suitable for a wide range of climatic conditions. The medium-sized bush with a slightly spreading structure ensures ease of processing and harvesting. Medium-length, straight, light-green, and slightly hairy canes promote good air circulation within the bush.
Thorns on this variety are thin but sturdy, solitary, and light-colored, distributed along the entire length of the cane. Leaves are large, dark green, with a smooth, shiny surface; their blades are leathery, wrinkled, and concave, while the teeth are blunt, short, and folded. Such morphology ensures resistance to low temperatures and increased yield.
Berries are medium-sized (about 7.3 g), slightly flattened, red-orange, with a sweet-and-sour taste and refreshing aroma. Inside, they are rich in sugars (8.3%), acids (0.8%), and vitamins: Vitamin C – 730 mg/%, Vitamin D – 472 mg/%. Thanks to these properties, berries are suitable for making juices, compotes, infusions, and as an ingredient in culinary dishes. The variety's resistance to low temperatures makes it an ideal choice for regions with cold winters.
