Paulownia PROXY2

Spanish breeding for your landscape

In the market for decorative and commercial forestry, Paulownia occupies a special niche, and the PROXI2 hybrid from the Spanish company Paulownia Professional S.L. is one of the most sought-after solutions for European plantations. This variety is the result of breeding work aimed at combining aesthetic appeal with high timber productivity.

Key characteristics

• Adult tree height: 10–15 meters.
• Application: decorative landscaping and timber production.
• Origin: Spain (Paulownia Professional S.L.).

PROXI2 stands out among other members of its genus for its resilience and crown shape, making it the preferred choice for park and alley landscaping. Unlike wild species, this hybrid demonstrates predictable growth rates, which is critical when planning forest plots or ornamental plantings. The timber of this Paulownia type is characterized by lightness, strength, and high resistance to deformation, allowing it to be used in furniture manufacturing, musical instruments, and even aircraft construction.

Why choose PROXI2

For farmers and landscape designers, the products of Paulownia Professional S.L. are associated with a professional approach to plant genetics. PROXI2 is adapted to the climatic conditions typical of Southern European countries, ensuring excellent seedling survival. Using this hybrid allows for a balance between ecological functions—such as air purification and rapid CO2 absorption—and the economic benefits brought by long-term timber harvesting.
