The hybrid winter wheat Saturn F1 is a high-yielding, intensive-type crop developed for stable and high yields. The potential yield of this variety exceeds 90-95 centners per hectare, making it one of the most promising options for agricultural enterprises. Plants are medium-late, with a vegetation period of about 329 days, and height of 120-135 cm, which ensures good resistance to lodging and shattering. The variety is characterized by high cold and winter hardiness, rated 8-9 points, as well as high drought tolerance, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions, including the Steppe zone of Ukraine. Saturn F1 exhibits tolerance to major diseases, reducing the risk of yield loss and decreasing the need for intensive plant protection. Grain is large, oval, gray-green in color, with 1000-grain weight ranging from 30 to 40 g. Falling number varies from 200 to 352 seconds, indicating good grain quality. The bread-making properties of the variety are good: loaf volume reaches 350 ml, and the overall quality score for bread-making characteristics is 4.6 points, confirming suitability of the grain for bread and cereal production. Hybrid Saturn F1 responds well to fertilizers and agronomic practices, contributing to increased yield under proper crop management. Recommended seeding rate is 3 million germinating seeds per hectare. To maintain purity of hybrid material, hybridization plots must be spatially isolated at a distance of 2000 meters. The variety has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2016 and is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe zone, confirming its adaptability and reliability for farmers in the region.
