Rice Kornet

Accelerated Harvest Cycles

The Kornet rice variety, developed by the Federal Rice Research Center, is a strategic choice for agricultural enterprises aiming to streamline harvest operations. Its primary advantage is its early maturity, which allows farmers to stagger harvest schedules, relieving pressure on drying facilities and machinery during the peak harvest window.

Key Operational Features

• Early Maturity: Enables reliable crop completion even in seasons with suboptimal heat accumulation, reducing the risk of weather-related yield loss.
• High Productivity: Built to deliver high yields, the variety shows consistent performance when standard nutrient management protocols are maintained.
• Harvest Efficiency: The uniform ripening of the panicles simplifies combine calibration and significantly reduces harvesting losses at the header.

Implementation Strategies

Choosing Kornet is ideal for regions where early autumn frosts or a restricted irrigation season pose a threat to crop quality. By harvesting earlier, agronomists can mitigate the risk of grain damage from late-season rainfall and ensure that the field is prepared for post-harvest soil management before the ground conditions deteriorate. To maximize yield, precise fertilization timing—specifically during the tillering and jointing stages—is critical for achieving the full genetic potential of this high-yielding variety.
