Corsar rice variety is a specialized variety recommended for cultivation in steppe regions. This variety was registered in 2016 and developed by the Institute of Rice of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. The producer is the company Zaatbau Linz. Corsar is distinguished by its adaptation to steppe climatic conditions, ensuring a stable yield and high-quality grain.
To protect Corsar rice crops from weeds, it is recommended to use a post-emergence contact herbicide based on bentazon at a concentration of 480 g/l. This water-soluble concentrate is effective against many broadleaf weeds, including those resistant to 2,4-D and MCPA, as well as sedges and annual broadleaf plants. The herbicide is suitable for use in cereal, legume, and rice crops, providing reliable protection for crops. It is recommended to apply the product under favorable weather conditions with temperatures between +10 to +25 °C, avoiding application during nighttime frosts. The pre-harvest interval is 60 days.
The herbicide should be stored in airtight packaging at temperatures from –12 to +40 °C. The product is compatible with various pesticides, except acidic ones, allowing flexible integration into crop protection systems. Thus, the Corsar rice variety, combined with effective weed protection, ensures high productivity and quality of the harvest in steppe regions.
