PASSIA

The Passia radish is an early-maturing vegetable with elongated cylindrical root crops of bright carmine color, 5-6 cm in length and weighing 15-18 g. The skin of the root crops is thin and tender, while the flesh is white, juicy, and has a weakly spicy taste, making this variety particularly attractive to consumers due to its excellent taste qualities.

This radish variety is cold-hardy, but it does not tolerate dry and hot weather well, under which the root crops can become limp and bitter. For successful cultivation of Passia radish, it is recommended to use loose, moist, and fertile soils with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction. Seeds should be selected large and fresh, sown evenly and not too deep; additionally, it is not recommended to loosen, thin, or weed the crops, as this may lead to bolting of the plant.

Passia radish is widely used in agronomy as a crop for growing in personal subsidiary holdings and on farms. It is suitable for obtaining a high yield, which is about 2.0 kg per square meter.
