Radish AUTUMN LUCK

A Strategy for Late-Season Harvests

The 'Osennaya Udacha' (Autumn Luck) radish is a specialized breeding solution for growers aiming to produce high-quality yields in the final phase of the vegetable season. Developed by experts at the Federal Research Center for Horticulture (V. E. Yudaeva and A. I. Bokhan), this variety fills the niche for late-harvest root vegetables, thriving when most summer hybrids would otherwise bolt or lose marketability due to heat stress.

Agronomic Profile

This variety is engineered specifically for the conditions of the autumn photoperiod. Unlike rapid-maturing spring varieties, 'Osennaya Udacha' shows high tolerance to declining temperatures and shifting light levels. This ensures that the roots develop effectively while maintaining a firm, crisp texture. The variety is backed by the Federal Research Center for Horticulture (formerly VSTISP), ensuring strict adherence to genetic standards and high-quality planting material.

Why Growers Choose 'Osennaya Udacha'

• Climate Resilience: Developed specifically for regions with volatile autumn weather, the variety handles cooling temperatures with ease.
• Reliable Quality: The selection work of Yudaeva and Bokhan focuses on maintaining crispness and flavor even as daylight hours decrease.
• Operational Efficiency: This radish is a standout for autumn production cycles, allowing farms to extend the availability of fresh produce late into the season.

Choosing this variety means opting for a predictable outcome, backed by years of institutional selection trials. 'Osennaya Udacha' integrates seamlessly into staggered planting schedules for both commercial farming and private gardening, where resistance to environmental stress during the September-October transition is a critical success factor.
