The Presto radish variety is an early-maturing type with bright red, round root crops reaching up to 50 grams in weight. The flesh is white, juicy, and crunchy, with a medium-spicy flavor, making it particularly attractive for fresh consumption. The variety is distinguished by excellent market quality, resistance to cracking and bolting, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
Presto is suitable for growing in open ground as well as in greenhouses or hotbeds under transparent film. Due to high cold hardiness, sowing can be done early without waiting for stable warmth, allowing the first fruits to appear in the early spring period. Technical maturity of the root crops occurs approximately on the 18th day after seedling emergence, while the total maturation period ranges from 18 to 32 days.
The plant is compact; seed sowing depth is 1-2 cm, and optimal planting times are March-April and September-October. Harvesting takes place from March to May and in October. Besides root crops, Presto radish leaves are also suitable for consumption, rich in vitamins and minerals, adding additional value to this variety.
