Strawberry variety Rubis des Jardins, or Ruby Gardens, is the result of long-term selection work by French specialists and awarded a silver medal by SIVAL. This mid-early variety with a short day length is characterized by rich ruby-red berry color and unique flavor qualities. Medium-sized fruits have a dense, shiny skin, and their flesh is sweet, melting, and has a distinct strawberry aroma. Due to its characteristics, this strawberry is suitable for personal consumption, fresh market sales, and processing into jams and preserves.

Rubis des Jardins plants are compact, upright, and resilient, with a strong root system capable of drawing moisture from deep soil layers. This results in lower water requirements compared to other varieties. The bushes produce many flower stems and a moderate number of runners, sufficient for propagation. The variety is noted for its good winter hardiness and disease tolerance, making it suitable for organic farming and cultivation in various soil conditions.

The yield of this variety is consistently high: with proper agronomic care, one plant can produce up to 1 kg of berries per season, and even with minimal care, the yield reaches 600–800 grams. Fruit ripening begins in mid-April in southern regions and greenhouses, continuing until late June. Overall, care for Rubis des Jardins does not differ significantly from requirements for other early strawberry varieties, making it a convenient and promising choice for gardeners and farmers.
