SANDRINA

The garden strawberry variety SANDRINA is a super-early variety developed in Italy in 2013 by the BerryLAB selection center in the city of Cesena. Berries begin to ripen 2-6 days earlier than popular varieties Alba and Cleri, allowing for harvest significantly earlier. Fruits are large, usually reaching 30 grams, with a maximum weight of 40-45 grams. Berries are elongated conical in shape, bright red in color with a glossy surface, possessing a very sweet dessert-like flavor and aroma of red apple. The flesh is firm, juicy, and succulent, making this variety especially attractive to consumers.

SANDRINA plants are medium-height with wide, dark green leaves and sturdy flower stems. Yield is high for an early variety, reaching 700 to 1000 grams per plant per season. The variety is characterized by good transportability and storability — berries retain their market quality without refrigeration for 3-5 days. Due to its high frost resistance and resistance to major diseases such as gray mold and bacterial disease, as well as moderate resistance to leaf spot, SANDRINA is well-suited for cultivation in continental climates, including the territory of Ukraine.

This variety is low-maintenance and resilient, capable of thriving on various soil types and under different conditions, including open ground and protected environments such as greenhouses or tunnels. Due to its qualities and characteristics, SANDRINA is suitable for both commercial cultivation and hobby gardeners seeking an early and abundant harvest of delicious and aromatic strawberries.
