Strawberry RENAISSANCE

Professional Grade Remontant Strawberry

The 'Renaissance' strawberry variety, developed by the German breeding company Hansabred & KG, is engineered specifically for professional berry production. Designed to meet the demands of modern agriculture, this cultivar balances consistent yields with excellent fruit quality, making it a reliable asset for commercial growers.

Operational Advantages and Field Application

• Dual-Cultivation Versatility: Whether operating in open fields or protected tunnel systems, 'Renaissance' demonstrates robust adaptability. In greenhouse conditions, it offers growers superior control over the harvest timing, significantly reducing the impact of adverse environmental factors.
• Extended Harvest Window: As a remontant variety, it produces multiple waves of fruit throughout the season. This is a crucial advantage for farm managers looking to maintain a steady supply chain for retailers and fresh produce markets, effectively extending the economic cycle of the field.
• Marketable Fruit Traits: The berries are characterized by an elongated shape, a deep red color, and high firmness. These attributes are essential for maintaining shelf life and visual appeal, which are primary requirements for premium-tier fresh market distribution.

With a frost resistance level of -18°C, the variety requires appropriate winter protection measures in colder climates to safeguard the root system. Agronomic success with 'Renaissance'—a product of Klaus Olbricht’s breeding expertise—relies on optimized fertigation management to support each production wave. By integrating this variety, farms can capitalize on its early fruiting maturity and long-term output, provided that irrigation and nutritional protocols are adjusted to support its high-yield potential.
