Rusannovka / Rusianivka

Rusannovka strawberry is an early-ripening Ukrainian variety that begins to bear fruit as late as late May. This variety was developed by breeders of the Ukrainian Institute of Horticulture through crossing high-yielding early strawberry varieties. Rusannovka plants are large, sprawling, with dense medium-sized leaves and long, light-colored petioles. The plant is highly resistant to diseases, cold, and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in temperate climates.

Rusannovka berries are large, weighing 35-40 grams, have round or conical shapes, and are bright red with a glossy appearance. The flesh is juicy, tender, and not overly dense, with a pleasant classic strawberry flavor and a mild acidity. Seeds are located on the surface of the berries, giving them a distinctive appearance. Due to its pronounced aroma and sweetness, this variety is especially valued for both home gardening and commercial production.

Rusannovka is characterized by high yield and produces sufficient runners, facilitating propagation.
