Radish Zolottse

Technical features of the "Zolotse" radish

The selection project by Agrofirma Poisk represents a unique example of color determination in radish crops. When selecting seed material, it is crucial to recognize that "Zolotse" is an early-maturing variety designed for rapid production cycles (20–25 days from emergence).

Biological parameters and morphology

• Technical maturity: The variety exhibits exceptional intensity in biomass accumulation. A stable root weight of 20–25 grams is achieved under conditions of adequate moisture and optimal light exposure.
• Morphological type: The round shape ensures even nutrient distribution, effectively minimizing the risk of core hollowness in the tissues.
• Pigmentation: The yellow skin color is driven by a specific profile of carotenoids and flavonoids, distinguishing this variety from traditional red cultivars and creating high-value market potential for gourmet retail and restaurant service.

Practical implementation requires intensive agricultural management. The short vegetation period renders the crop sensitive to nitrogen deficiency during the initial development phase; thus, applying starter fertilizers during soil preparation is a critical technological step. The root features high flesh density, ensuring improved shelf-life and durability during transport—a performance factor often overlooked in early-maturing radish varieties.
