Escala

Escala F1 Red Radish is an early Soran-type hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. The maturation period is 20-25 days from sowing, allowing it to be grown in open and protected soil almost year-round, including during winter. The hybrid is highly resistant to stress conditions such as light deficiency and low temperatures, making it the optimal choice for year-round and organic farming.

The fruits of Escala Red Radish have a bright red color with a white core, round shape, and weigh between 20 to 30 grams with a diameter of 3-4 cm. The flesh is tender, juicy, does not become tough or form cavities or fibers even under water deficiency. The plants form a compact rosette of leaves that firmly hold onto the root, facilitating harvest. The hybrid exhibits high uniformity in fruit size and shape, resistance to cracking and splitting, ensuring consistent product quality.

Escala F1 Red Radish retains its color and freshness after washing and transport, allowing it to be marketed fresh on retail markets both as bunches and loose. Recommended for concentrated harvest and home cooking. Optimal growing conditions include moist soil and crop rotation, under which the hybrid achieves maximum yield and active biomass accumulation.
