Description
The 'Young Lieutenant' radish variety is an early-maturing variety that forms a crop just 20-22 days after germination. This variety is suitable for growing in open ground, hotbeds, film tunnels, and greenhouses. The root crop has an oval shape with a convex head, the mass of marketable root crops is 20-25 grams. The radish flesh is white, dense, juicy, crunchy, with moderate spiciness and a slight sweetness. Yield reaches 1.8-2 kg per square meter. Sowing seeds is recommended in several stages, starting from the end of April, with an interval of 2-3 weeks. Seeds are sown in rows with inter-row spacing of 10-12 cm, distance between seeds of 2-3 cm, to a depth of 1-1.5 cm.
