RADISH 'MALL DA UDAL'

The 'Mall da Udal' radish is an early-maturing root crop that forms a harvest just three weeks after seedlings emerge. This variety is suitable for growing both in open ground and protected soil. The roots are round, weighing 17-20 grams, with a thin taproot. The flesh is white, juicy, dense, and crisp, possessing a mildly sharp, rich flavor with a slight sweetness. When overgrown, the flesh does not become limp, and the skin does not become tough, allowing it to maintain high consumer qualities for 2-2.5 weeks when stored in a refrigerator.

The yield of the variety reaches 2-2.5 kg per square meter. For sowing, seeds are planted at a depth of 1-2 cm with a distance between them of about 5-7 cm. After the first true leaf appears, seedlings are thinned to ensure optimal growth. To obtain a fresh harvest throughout the season, it is recommended to conduct sowings with an interval of 15-20 days. Radish requires timely watering, regular weeding, and loosening of the soil to maintain plant health.
