Radish WHITE SWAN

Field Management: Growing Experience

When working with the "Bely Lebed" (White Swan) variety from Euro-Semena, it is crucial to recognize its specific development cycle. Unlike typical early-maturing radish varieties, this one requires a more calculated approach due to its 90–100 day maturation period. It is not designed for a quick harvest, but rather as a robust root crop capable of delivering high-quality, long-lasting yields for extended storage.

Resilience and Pest Management

The primary advantage for any grower here is its genetic resistance to powdery mildew and clasterosporium blight (shot-hole disease). In practical terms, this significantly reduces the need for intense chemical intervention. You save on fungicide expenses and keep your soil health intact, as the plant manages these pathogens effectively even under challenging moisture conditions during the spring or autumn seasons.

• Growth Cycles: Optimized for spring and autumn planting windows to maximize yield efficiency.
• Maintenance: Given the long maturation time, consistent irrigation and inter-row cultivation are essential. Proper moisture levels prevent the roots from becoming woody or fibrous.
• Post-Harvest: The late-maturing nature ensures a dense, high-quality root structure that stores exceptionally well.

For those prioritizing reliability and yield quality over speed, "Bely Lebed" by Euro-Semena is a dependable choice. Its ease of care and natural disease resistance make it a smart, low-maintenance component for a professional crop rotation program.
