SARATOV

The "Saratov" radish variety is a mid-early variety distinguished by its high resistance to drought and diseases. The root crops have an oval-round shape with a slight narrowing downwards and are colored in an intense raspberry shade. The average weight of one root crop is about 33 grams. The radish flesh is white or with pink spots, juicy, tender, and crunchy, possessing a pleasant mild sharp taste without bitterness.

This variety is intended for growing in open ground on loose, fertile soils, such as sandy loams or easily accessible ones. "Saratov" radish requires good lighting, as in the shade it forms a long foliage and small root crops. To ensure successful growing, it is recommended to observe crop rotation, avoiding plantings after cruciferous crops. Sowing seeds is carried out from early spring to late summer, at a depth of 1 to 2 cm, with optimal row spacing and distance between plants.

The period from germination to harvest is approximately 21-25 days, which allows obtaining an early and high-quality yield. Marketable yield reaches 0.8–1.3 kg per square meter. Thanks to its taste qualities and resistance to adverse conditions, "Saratov" radish is an excellent choice for growing in various regions with a moderate climate.
