Radish PIKOVAYA DAMA

Yield stability and predictable results

When working with 'Pikovaya Dama' radish, the focus shifts from struggling for survival to managing commercial output. This variety, bred by Elizaveta Romanovna Kudryavtseva, demonstrates excellent adaptability in Russian growing conditions. For the operator, this translates into a predictable development cycle and clear agricultural requirements.

Operational parameters

• Maturation timing: The variety is geared toward early and mid-season cycles, allowing for quick land preparation for subsequent crops.
• Stress resistance: Field performance shows high resilience to common radish diseases, significantly reducing the need for fungicide applications.
• Harvest efficiency: The roots are noted for their uniformity in shape and size. This simplifies grading and reduces post-harvest waste during packaging for retail networks.

Maintenance recommendations

Control over irrigation is critical to achieving target yields. 'Pikovaya Dama' responds well to consistent moisture levels; moisture deficits during critical development phases lead to loss of commercial quality and tissue coarsening. The variety is suitable for both open field cultivation and plastic greenhouses, as its high adaptability allows it to buffer against microclimate fluctuations without compromising product quality.
