Radish RUBY.

Early Harvest Reliability

The «Rubin» radish variety, developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS, is a proven cultivar for producers who value consistency and adaptability. This variety is specifically engineered for early-season cultivation, providing stable results even when facing the unpredictable temperature shifts common in early spring.

Practical Field Applications

• Sequential Planting: Highly adaptable for greenhouse settings and early open-field operations, allowing farmers to establish a reliable harvest schedule.
• Market Readiness: The roots are uniform, round, and feature a vibrant red skin with a glossy finish. This uniformity simplifies the harvesting and sorting process for retail distribution.
• Stress Tolerance: One of the key agronomic advantages is its resistance to bolting, ensuring higher quality yields even when environmental conditions are suboptimal.

Agronomic Performance

The flesh of the «Rubin» radish is firm, juicy, and crisp, free from pithiness, maintaining a balanced, mildly pungent flavor. In practice, the variety performs well on various soil types, provided that adequate soil moisture is maintained during the root-filling stage. Proper irrigation management is essential to prevent cracking and ensures the radish maintains its high marketability from the moment of harvest through to the consumer.
