Radish LEKARY

Rapid Crop Maturity for Early Spring

The 'Lekar' radish from the Aelita agricultural firm is a go-to solution for growers who prioritize early seasonal production. With a rapid maturation cycle of 20–25 days from emergence, this variety is designed to hit the market when demand for fresh produce is at its peak and supply is limited.

Operational Advantages and Cultivation

• Crop Rotation Optimization: Because of its extremely short growing season, 'Lekar' is an excellent catch crop. It allows you to harvest in late spring, clearing the ground just in time for main-season warm-weather crops like tomatoes or peppers.
• Market Appeal: The roots exhibit a classic round shape with a vibrant red skin and a distinct white tip. This visual profile ensures high marketability for both bunch sales and pre-packaged retail.
• Consistent Yields: Adapted for spring cultivation, this variety excels when daylight hours are lengthening but temperatures remain moderate.

For large-scale or high-intensity operations, 'Lekar' is best managed through staggered planting. Sowing at 10–12 day intervals creates a continuous supply line throughout the spring. While the variety is resilient, the quality of the root texture is highly dependent on consistent irrigation. Keeping the soil moisture stable is the primary agricultural operation required to ensure the crisp, succulent flesh that consumers expect from the 'Lekar' variety.
