Description Lebidka
Red radish variety Lебidka is a winter Chinese radish variety with attractive elongated roots of greenish-white color and white flesh. The flesh is characterized by tenderness, juiciness, and a mild flavor with a slight sweet note, almost without spiciness. The roots weigh from 200 to 400 grams, have high yield, and retain their market quality after harvest. The variety is resistant to flowering and cracking, making it suitable for cultivation in open ground in Ukraine. Radish Lебidka has high cold resistance and requires fertile, loose soil with adequate moisture and light. The vegetation period is 60 to 70 days; sowing is carried out in July-August at a depth of 1.5-2 cm. The plant is mostly annual, tolerates heat well, and is resistant to diseases. After harvest, the roots can be stored in cellars until spring, allowing their use for a long period. Variety Lебidka is rich in vitamins, enzymes, mineral salts including iron, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, as well as essential oils and antibiotics. It promotes appetite and metabolism improvement, and possesses therapeutic properties for various diseases such as radiculitis, colds, rheumatism, liver, kidney, and urinary tract diseases. Radish is widely used in cooking for salads, sandwiches, and okroshka, thanks to its mild flavor and beneficial properties.
