Radish KLUBOOK

Genetic Potential and Morphology

The 'Klubok' radish from Agrofirma Aelita is a result of meticulous selective breeding conducted by Natalia Nastenko, Vladimir Kachaynik, and Alexey Kandoba. The focus of this variety lies in its specific morphological structure and pigment distribution, which distinguish it from conventional radish cultivars.

Technical Specifications

• Geometry: The round shape of the root crop ensures efficient nutrient storage and facilitates both manual and automated harvesting processes.
• Pigmentation: The distinct yellow and purple color profile indicates a unique content of anthocyanins and flavonoids, contributing to the firmness and overall sensory quality of the radish.
• Seasonal Adaptation: Engineered specifically for spring and autumn cultivation cycles, this variety successfully mitigates the risks associated with bolting, which is common during long summer days.

From a production standpoint, the 'Klubok' radish offers significant advantages for commercial growers. The structural integrity of the root crop is maintained throughout the development cycle, which is essential for preventing pithiness—a common issue in early-maturing varieties exposed to irregular moisture. The combination of its stable shape and consistent density ensures a high yield of high-quality, market-ready produce that holds up well during transport and storage. By selecting for environmental plasticity, the originators have created a reliable variety that performs consistently across spring and autumn windows in both field and protected environments.
