Radish Hostessyuka is an early variety with high marketable and taste qualities of root crops. Fruits have a round or elliptical shape, weighing from 25 to 35 grams and with a diameter of 4-5 cm, with a smooth surface and bright-magenta color. The green part of the plant is of medium size, which makes the variety suitable for early sowing both in open and closed ground. Thanks to a friendly harvest yield and excellent taste characteristics, radish Hostessyuka is suitable for a one-time harvest collection, ensuring high productivity.
Radish is one of the earliest vegetable crops, growing quickly and rich in useful substances, including ascorbic acid, B, P, PP group vitamins, protein substances, amino acids, and minerals. Radish seeds can be sown under agrofiber immediately after the soil becomes suitable for processing, as well as under winter, which allows obtaining the first harvest already in early May. For sowing, it is recommended to maintain a row spacing of 8-10 cm, and the furrow depth should be 1-2 cm. Radish ripening occurs within 18-20 days after seedling emergence, which sprout depending on weather conditions and care from three to twelve days.
For successful radish cultivation, proper feeding is important, especially on exhausted and low-fertility soils. The main nutrients for the plant are nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Nitrogen deficiency manifests as poorly growing stems and pale leaves, in which case it is recommended to apply potassium-phosphorus fertilizers. With excess nitrogen, an abundant development of green mass is observed with small root crops. Proper care and timely fertilization contribute to rapid plant development and obtaining a quality harvest.
