Radish Khrumka

Efficiency and Speed in Your Garden

The «Khrumka» radish, developed by Agrofirma Aelita, is a selection masterpiece designed for growers who prioritize early yield and market-grade consistency. Created by a team of professional breeders (V. G. Kachaynik, M. N. Gulkin, and S. V. Matyunina), this variety has earned a reputation for reliability in both kitchen gardens and small-scale commercial operations.

Cultivation and Performance

The standout feature of this variety is its impressive earliness: harvest can commence just 20–25 days after germination. This rapid cycle is a strategic advantage for succession planting, allowing gardeners to clear space for other crops within a single season.

• Root Characteristics: «Khrumka» produces uniform, round roots with a vibrant, bright red skin.
• Weight: Individual roots typically weigh 25–30 grams, the standard preferred size for fresh market bunching.
• Seasonal Versatility: The variety is highly adaptable, performing well in both spring and autumn planting slots.

The name «Khrumka» (which translates roughly to «Crunchy») aptly describes the eating experience: the flesh is crisp, juicy, and remains solid without becoming pithy or hollow. Its resistance to bolting, even under varying weather conditions, makes it a resilient choice. By adhering to consistent irrigation and soil cultivation practices, growers can ensure a uniform crop that is easy to harvest and visually appealing to customers. Choosing seed stock from Agrofirma Aelita ensures consistent genetic performance and optimal germination rates.
