Pumpkin Gray Ukrainian

Technical profile of the 'Siriy Ukrainskiy' pumpkin

This variety, developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of NAAS of Ukraine, is optimized for industrial cultivation. The primary advantage of this hybrid is its robust genetic resistance to powdery mildew, which is critical for protecting the foliage surface area during the late stages of development, ensuring consistent fruit weight and quality.

Morphometric characteristics and operational parameters

The variety shows consistent yield indicators:

• Fruit shape: Uniformly round, which facilitates standardized logistics and mechanized handling.
• Fruit mass: 5–8 kg, providing a balanced profile for both retail and processing markets.
• Storage stability: Excellent shelf life due to high resistance to post-harvest fungal decay, ensuring longevity of quality during winter storage.

From an agronomic perspective, 'Siriy Ukrainskiy' provides a significant competitive edge by reducing the need for aggressive fungicide applications. This built-in resistance not only optimizes production costs but also ensures consistent yields even during high-humidity seasons when fungal pressure is elevated. It is an efficient choice for those focusing on stable, high-yield vegetable production with minimal resource input.
