Sweet Loafs is an early-maturing pumpkin variety, ripening within 90-100 days from seedling emergence to harvest. Plants are moderately vigorous with main vine lengths of 2-3 meters. Fruits have an orbicular-hemideltoid or flat-round shape, with a pink-orange color and a weight ranging from 1.7 to 5 kg. The skin is of medium thickness, and the flesh is bright orange, mealy, juicy, and sweet with a characteristic musky aroma. This variety is distinguished by high yield, drought resistance, increased carotene content, and cold tolerance.
The Sweet Loafs pumpkin is versatile in use: fruits are suitable for infant and dietary feeding, consumed fresh, and used to prepare salads, nutritious porridges, multivitamin juices, puddings, and delicious desserts. Thanks to excellent transportability and the ability to store for a long time in cool conditions, the taste and aroma of the fruits are preserved throughout the winter.
Growing this variety is possible both by seedling method and direct sowing in the ground. Sowing for seedlings is conducted in April, while transplanting seedlings to the ground is done in May-June. When direct sowing, seeds are placed at a depth of 4-6 cm at the end of May - in June. The recommended planting scheme is 60x60 cm. Yield is 13-17 kg per plant, making this variety attractive for gardeners and farmers.
