Pumpkin Autumn Gift

Focus on Long-Term Storage and Culinary Utility

The 'Osenny Podarok' (Autumn Gift) pumpkin, developed by the Federal Research Center for Horticulture, is a variety designed for growers who prioritize consistent yields and long-term storability. The plant features a vigorous, indeterminate vine, requiring adequate spacing to ensure the proper maturation of its massive fruit.

Practical Cultivation Strategies

When working with this variety, the primary agricultural objective is vine management. Given its vigorous growth pattern, effective space utilization is key. In field conditions, the variety demonstrates high adaptability, but the irrigation regime during the fruit-filling stage is vital; consistently large fruits (8-10 kg) have high moisture requirements to reach their full potential without compromising internal texture.

Why choose 'Osenny Podarok'?

• Winter-Ready Yields. The standout characteristic of this variety is its exceptional storage life. Fruits maintain their nutritional value and flesh integrity for months, allowing producers to hold stock through the winter season to target more favorable market pricing.
• Optimal Logistics. An average fruit weight of 8-10 kg is ideal for both wholesale and retail supply chains. These pumpkins are easy to palletize, transport, and distribute without high rates of spoilage.
• Versatility in Processing. The dense, moderately sweet flesh is highly valued by food manufacturers. It resists breaking down during processing, making it an excellent choice for purees, juices, or direct culinary use.

For agricultural enterprises, 'Osenny Podarok' represents a strategic asset for inventory management. It does not demand unconventional growing methods, but with proper moisture and soil management, it reliably delivers a high-quality, long-lasting harvest that stands out in any storage facility.
