The pumpkin variety "Chef's Dream" is a mid-season, high-yielding variety with a maturation period of 115-120 days from full germination. The plant is powerful, long-vining, with branched vines up to 8 meters long. 4-7 fruits of a round shape, small diameter, bright orange color, and up to 3.5 kg in weight are formed on one plant. The flesh is dense, crunchy, rich bright orange color, has excellent taste and is suitable for various culinary purposes.
This variety differs in high cold hardiness and unpretentiousness in cultivation. The plant is recommended to be formed, leaving 4-5 fruits on the plant, and removing the rest of the vines and suckers for better development. Sowing for seedlings is done in April, and planting in open ground - in May-June at the stage of 2-3 true leaves with row spacing of 80x60 cm. Seeds are sown in open ground at the end of May - beginning of June to a depth of 5-10 cm, 2-3 pieces per hole. Rare but abundant watering to the root, as well as regular loosening and weeding contribute to good growth. Organic fertilizers are applied 3-4 times during the season.
The fruits of the "Chef's Dream" variety are versatile in use: they can be boiled, stewed, baked whole, canned, dried and processed into juices. Thanks to the dense flesh and good transportability, the pumpkin retains its qualities during long-term storage, which allows using the harvest throughout the winter. This variety is ideal for home cooking, preparing various dishes and preserves, as well as for improving digestion and strengthening immunity.
