HONEY DESSERT

Honey Dessert is a variety of pumpkin with a late maturity period, distinguished by its attractive fruit shape resembling a bell and a smooth surface. The fruits have a greenish-cream color and weigh between 2.5 and 3 kg. The pumpkin flesh is firm, fiberless, and possesses an exceptional taste and aroma, making this variety particularly valuable for culinary use and canning. The plant is powerful and trailing, requiring specific agricultural techniques for successful cultivation. Sowing seeds is recommended in open ground at the end of May to the beginning of June, planting them at a depth of 5-6 cm with a distance of about 70 cm between the pits. To increase yield, seedlings can be used, planting 20-day seedlings after the threat of frost has passed. During growth, it is important to pinch the main stem above the fourth leaf and leave 1-2 fruits on the side vines, which contributes to the formation of quality fruits. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and good storage ability of the fruits, allowing them to be stored for up to 120 days after harvest. Honey Dessert contains a significant amount of carotene, which gives the flesh beneficial dietary and therapeutic properties, especially valuable when preparing children's juices and purees.
