Practical cultivation of 'Duymovochka' pumpkin

For those prioritizing efficiency in the garden, 'Duymovochka' offers a balanced solution between a manageable footprint and consistent yields. Unlike sprawling varieties, this plant forms a compact vine that is easy to navigate, significantly reducing the labor required for maintenance and harvesting.

Maintenance and care

As the operator of your garden, you will value the predictability of this cultivar. It does not require complex technical intervention. Key maintenance points include:

• Vine management: The controlled growth pattern allows you to optimize garden space and ensures easy access to all developing fruits.
• Fruit specs: You get consistent yields of 2–3 kg per fruit. This is the ideal culinary format, allowing for full usage of the product without the need to store leftovers.
• Handling: The rounded shape is highly practical for transport and organized storage in cool, dry conditions.

Storage and longevity

The standout feature of this variety is its impressive shelf life. When stored in a standard cool cellar, the fruit maintains its structural integrity and nutritional value for several months. This removes the pressure of immediate consumption, giving you long-term access to your harvest.

Developed by the Vavilov Institute (VIR) and the 'Dachnaya Akademiya', this variety is designed for adaptability. It provides a reliable result with minimal fuss, making 'Duymovochka' an excellent choice for a rational gardener who values compact growth and long-lasting storage qualities.
