KWS Emerick — a high-yielding winter wheat variety of class E, developed by European breeding and produced by KWS. This variety is characterized by efficient nitrogen utilization, contributing to high yields reaching 7-10 tons per hectare. It is medium-early in maturity group and suitable for all sowing dates, including after corn. Plant height is approximately 92 cm, 1000-seed weight is high, and grain number per ear is medium or above medium, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, yellow rust, and Fusarium head blight, as well as medium to high resistance to brown leaf rust, Pyrenophora, and leaf septoria. Thanks to these traits, KWS Emerick demonstrates high disease and stress resistance, including drought resistance, confirmed by resistance ratings of 9-10 points. Grain quality is high and very high, and protein content in grain is also at a high level, making this variety attractive for farmers focused on product quality.
KWS Emerick is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. The variety features a non-awned ear type and late maturity, enabling adaptation to various climatic conditions and agronomic practices. Seed packaging is done in 50 kg bags, convenient for storage and transportation.
