The Gomer soft winter wheat variety is a mid-late semi-dwarf variety with a vegetation period ranging from 212 to 298 days. It is characterized by high yield and resistance to lodging, overwintering on the stem, and grain shedding, ensuring crop stability and product quality. The variety has enhanced frost resistance and high drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

Gomer is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Rostov and Belgorod regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, and Adygea, as well as the Central Black Earth and North Caucasian regions. The potential yield of the variety reaches up to 126.9 centners per hectare, with yields of about 62.2 c/ha in the Central Black Earth region and 54.8 c/ha in the North Caucasian region. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 37 to 46 grams.

The Gomer variety is distinguished by its high milling and baking qualities, confirmed by its high protein content (about 14.6%) and gluten content (about 27.1%). This makes it ideal for the production of flour, bread, and other high-quality bakery products. Thanks to its technological properties and stable yield, Gomer has been included in the register of strong varieties of the Russian Federation and is widely used in agriculture to obtain quality grain.
