Svylavskaya

Potato variety Svylavskaya belongs to medium-early universal varieties, recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Mountainous, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie. This variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 300-400 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production. Svylavskaya exhibits high resistance to late blight and viral diseases, as well as to waterlogged soil and storage under high humidity, ensuring crop preservation.

The tubers of this variety have medium starch content — from 18 to 20% — which gives them high taste and culinary qualities. Due to these characteristics, potato Svylavskaya is suitable for various cooking methods, including chip production. However, the variety is less resistant to prolonged drought and high temperatures, which should be considered when selecting the cultivation region.

The origin of this variety is linked to the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, where it was registered in 2001.
