Description SWEDISH
The Swedish potato variety is a medium-ripening table type with oval, yellow tubers and small eyes. Plants are of medium height, semi-upright, with medium-sized green leaves and large white flowers. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 92 to 250 grams, and the starch content is from 12.8% to 18.3%, providing good taste and versatility in culinary use. The variety is distinguished by high tuber marketability, reaching 89–100%, and good storability — about 92%.

The yield of the Swedish variety averages from 198 to 361 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 509 centners, surpassing standards compared to other varieties. The potato is resistant to potato cancer, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. However, the variety is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and is severely affected by common potato scab. Regarding phytophthora, the variety shows moderate susceptibility to foliage and moderate resistance to tubers.

The Swedish variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions and is characterized by good drought resistance. Its tubers have smooth yellow skin and light-yellow flesh, making them attractive to consumers. Due to excellent taste qualities and versatility in cooking, this variety is popular among gardeners and farmers seeking a stable and high-quality harvest.
