Description BASHKIRSKY
The potato variety Bashkirsky belongs to early-maturing table varieties developed by Russian breeders specifically for the conditions of the Ural region. The plant is of medium height, semi-erect, with a large purple-red flower and green leaves of medium and large size with strong wavy edges. Tubers are oval-round in shape with medium-depth eyes, having smooth red skin and white flesh. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 90 to 198 grams, and starch content ranges from 14.6% to 19.8%, making this variety universal for making mashed potatoes, boiling, and frying.

Bashkirsky is characterized by high marketable yield, ranging from 149 to 311 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 374 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standards of such varieties as Zhukovsky Early, Lider, and Alena. Yield on day 45 after emergence reaches 94-187 centners, and on day 55 — 168-214 centners per hectare. Marketable tuber percentage ranges from 80-99%, and storability reaches 95%, ensuring good product preservation.

The variety is resistant to potato cancer pathogen and is slightly affected by golden potato cyst nematode, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. Bashkirsky potato tolerates drought well and effectively utilizes spring soil moisture reserves. Additionally, the plant has a characteristic that makes it difficult for Colorado beetle eggs to adhere to leaves, reducing pest damage. Moderately susceptible to late blight of stems and tubers, the variety is low-maintenance and suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
