Sunflower SF 2615 MA

Yield stability with intensive weed control

Choosing the SF 2615 MA hybrid from Limagrain is an investment in Clearfield technology. Developed by Soltis breeders, this sunflower is designed to deliver predictable performance even in fields with high weed pressure. The compatibility with imidazolinone herbicides (Euro-Lightning) eliminates competition from ragweed, thistles, and broomrape, which is critical for maximizing yield potential.

Phytosanitary shield and disease resistance

The core strength of the SF 2615 MA lies in its genetic immunity. French selection genetics prioritize stress resistance, and this model features a robust defense package against key pathogens:

• Full control over downy mildew prevents stand depletion.
• High tolerance to phomopsis and phoma ensures leaf surface health through to harvest.
• Resistance to white rot (Sclerotinia) is essential in high-moisture conditions and dense plantings.

The medium seed size combined with high germination energy ensures uniform emergence, even during spring moisture deficits. This is a reliable workhorse for growers balancing modern technology with biological resilience.

Who is this hybrid for?

The SF 2615 MA is ideal for farmers who prefer standardized, high-performance systems. If you practice intensive farming and want to eliminate the risks of crop loss due to disease or weeds, this hybrid provides the return on investment you need. It is essential to time your herbicide application accurately according to the growth stages of the crop to unleash the full potential of the Euro-Lightning system.
