Description ADEON
The potato variety Adeon is a high-yielding late-maturing variety developed at the Krasnodar State Agrarian University. It is characterized by forming a large number of uniform, round tubers with an attractive yellow skin and deeply set eyes. The flesh of the tubers is also yellow, with a high starch content ranging from 19% to 26%, which ensures excellent taste and medium texture. The variety belongs to the culinary type B-C, making it versatile for making mashed potatoes, serving whole tubers, or frying. Tubers do not darken after boiling, enhancing their appeal to consumers.

Adeon is distinguished by its high yield, reaching 47.6–51.0 tons per hectare under proper agronomic conditions. Up to 17–18 tubers can form under each plant, indicating its productivity. The variety has good storability and is suitable for long-term storage at low temperatures, while maintaining a low level of reducing sugars and acrylamides, which is important for product quality and safety. Additionally, tubers are resistant to mechanical damage, facilitating their transportation and storage.

The Adeon variety exhibits high resistance to major potato diseases, including Alternaria blight, late blight of foliage and tubers, and virus-Y. It also possesses immune resistance to potato cancer and resistance to the pathotype I of potato cancer and golden potato nematode (R01). These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, especially in the North Caucasus region. Developed by crossing the varieties Rocco and Romano, Adeon combines the best selection achievements with practical value for table use.
