Description FOBOS
Fobos — a medium-maturing domestic potato variety for table use, maturing in 90-110 days from planting to harvest. The plants of this variety are low and compact, with prolonged flowering of red-purple flowers. Tubers have an elongated-oval shape, yellow skin, and small eyes. The flesh is yellow, does not darken during processing and storage, making this variety especially attractive for various culinary purposes. The taste of the potatoes is excellent, and the starch content is 16-18%, ensuring versatility in preparation — from boiling and baking to frying.

The Fobos variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as potato cancer, phytophthora, and alternaria, as well as to mechanical damage. Moderately resistant to late blight, but not resistant to potato nematode. Due to its high storability, the tubers retain quality well during long-term storage, allowing their use throughout the season without loss of quality.

This variety is widely used for both table purposes and starch production. The yield is 50-60 tons per hectare, making Fobos a profitable choice for farmers and gardeners. Its universal culinary properties and excellent taste make this potato especially popular for frying, baking, and boiling.
