Sunflower hybrid ES Ortus is a new budget variety developed for traditional cultivation methods. It exhibits high adaptability to various soil types and climatic conditions, ensuring stable yields across a wide range of environments. The hybrid has a medium-early maturity period with a vegetation cycle of 108-113 days and plant height ranging from 165 to 175 cm. Seeds are large and hard-shelled, providing reliable protection against soil pests and helping maintain harvest quality. ES Ortus features a strong root system and high resistance to drought, cold, and lodging, making it especially valuable in regions with variable weather conditions. Its resistance level to major sunflower diseases such as Phomopsis, black mold, white mold, downy mildew, rust, gray mold, septoria, fomosis, and Alternaria is high, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates resistance to bird damage, enhancing its market competitiveness. The potential yield of ES Ortus reaches 50-57 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds at 51-53%. Vigorous early growth and 1000-seed mass ensure good germination and plant development. Through careful selection of parental lines, a hybrid with optimal price-to-quality ratio was created, making ES Ortus an attractive choice for farmers seeking high and stable yields at moderate costs.
