Sunflower seeds Surimi CL are a mid-early linoleic hybrid of new genetic generation, developed for cultivation in the steppe zone of Ukraine and adapted to various soil-climatic conditions. The vegetation period is 114-118 days, ensuring stable harvest even under water deficit conditions. The hybrid is characterized by high drought and heat tolerance, making it especially valuable for regions with limited water supply.
Surimi CL has high potential productivity and resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, downy mildew, frogeye, fomopsis, fomosis, and white mold. Plants have medium height, large leaves and semi-tilted heads, which are well-filled and characterized by high pollen content. Oil content in the seeds is 50–54%, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production.
The recommended plant density at harvest is 35-60 thousand seeds per hectare, with optimal density of 45-55 thousand per hectare. The hybrid is well-suited for cultivation on medium and high agrofons, ensuring stable and high yields. Due to its characteristics, Surimi CL is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sunflower yields in the steppe zone.
