Zaporozhskiy Conditersky — this is a high-yielding, mid-ripening sunflower variety of Ukrainian selection, specifically developed for the confectionery industry. The plant is characterized by large heads with a diameter of 20-25 cm, flat or slightly convex, and does not shed seeds during storage. The ripening period is about 120 days, allowing effective harvest planning. Plant height reaches 180-210 cm, and the 1000-seed weight varies from 110 to 125 g, indicating the variety's large-seeded nature.
The variety is distinguished by stable yields up to 4.7 t/ha (20-26 c/ha) even under difficult growing conditions, making it popular in Ukraine’s steppe zone. Oil content in seeds ranges from 40-44%, while linseed content is 28-32%. The seeds contain a moderate amount of oil with a high oleic acid content, ensuring their high quality for food use and processing in the confectionery industry. Due to these characteristics, sunflower is widely used in the production of sunflower seeds and various culinary products.
For sowing, a density of no more than 33,000 plants per hectare is recommended. The delivery package includes bulk packaging and loading onto road transport, with delivery provided under preferential conditions. The producer provides agronomic and advisory support, offers free seed storage until planting, and, for an additional fee, performs seed treatment to ensure successful cultivation and plant protection against diseases.
