Mallow

Mallow is a hybrid variety, a combination of cherry and plum, also known as 'Miracle Cherry'. This variety is early, with blooming beginning in early May and fruiting starting as early as the third year after planting. The fruits are large, round, dark cherry-colored, weighing about 15 grams. The flesh is juicy and very sweet, making this variety ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for making desserts, juices, and compotes. The tree is highly frost-resistant, allowing it to be grown in various climatic conditions. In terms of appearance and growth, Mallow is closer to cherry: the tree has a strong growth habit comparable to that of a tree cherry, with branching and flowers resembling plum. The flowers are large, clustered in racemes on short pedicels, and the shoots are straight and thick with large buds, more similar to plum. For successful fruiting, a pollinator — plum — is required. This makes the variety more resilient and productive with proper care. The planting material is presented as saplings 100 to 140 cm tall, wrapped in plastic with soil. It is recommended to plant trees in sunny or semi-shaded areas with a planting depth of about 40 cm and spacing between plants of 2-3 meters. The optimal planting period is from April to October. Due to its compact size and high yield, Mallow is an excellent choice for gardens, especially if basic care rules are followed and high-quality planting material is used.
