This variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Vengerka Azhanskaia and Renkloch Altana at the North Caucasus Regional Research Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture. Breeders: E.M. Alekhina, L.A. Turovskaya, R.Sh. Zaremuik. Introduced into the State Register in 2002 for the North Caucasus region.
Medium-sized tree, with a bushy crown. Bark dark brown, medium-grained, with frequent lenticels. Shoots curved, with medium internodes. Bud shape conical, with a pointed apex. Leaf blade narrowly triangular, 10-11 cm long, 3-4 cm wide. Leaf blade consistency elastic, hairless, with medium serration. Petiole with a small amount of anthocyanins, no glands. Presence of pale green, linear stipules. Length 2.5-3.0 cm, width 1-1.5 cm. Two flowers form from one bud. Flower corolla bowl-shaped. Corolla diameter small (15-20 mm). Buds white with greenish-yellow tint. Petals white, large. Length 15 mm, width 15 mm. Petal corrugation absent. Stigma length 10 mm, slightly curved, with rounded stigma. Calyx cup-shaped, without hairs. Length 5 mm, width 3-5 mm.
Fruit oval-shaped, 30-40 mm high, 13-15 mm wide. Average fruit mass (28-31 g). No stripes. Ventral suture medium, continuous. Skin medium thickness, difficult to remove. Fruit cavity monochromatic with flesh. Peduncle medium length (11-13 mm) and thickness (1.7-2.1 mm). Skin color green, with bluish coating. Stone elongated-egg-shaped. Apex pointed, with narrow-rounded base. Dorsal suture medium-open, lateral ribs clearly visible. Ridge medium, sharp. Stone surface medium-ridged and nodular. Peduncle attachment to fruit medium.
Fruit flavor harmonious (sour-sweet). Sugar content in fruits — 15%, acid — 0.4%, ascorbic acid — 9.0%, dry matter — 20.6%, vitamin P — 54 mg/100g. Sensory evaluation of fresh fruits 4.6 points, processed products — 4.5 points. Fruits are of universal use. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing into compotes, jams, juices. Fruits can be frozen. High transportability.
Flowering begins at medium time (April 6-8). Fruits ripen at the end of August. End of shoot growth marked in the third decade of August. End of vegetation — second and third decade of October. Heat tolerance of the variety is high. Average yield per tree 60-70 kg.
The Prickubanskaya variety can be used in breeding for heat tolerance and yield.
