AUTUMN SUVENIR PLUM

The "Autumn Souvenir" plum variety is a late-ripening variety with large, oval-shaped fruits. The fruits feature a diverse coloration ranging from green to dark purple with burgundy-purple shades and rare white speckles. The flesh is yellow, sometimes with a greenish tint, possesses a sweet taste with a slight acidity, and the juice is colorless. The pit is large and easily separates from the flesh, making the variety convenient for consumption and processing. The average fruit weight is about 47 grams, while sugar content reaches 14.10%, with acidity at 0.78%. The "Autumn Souvenir" tree is fast-growing with a spherical crown, reaching a height of 150 to 200 cm. The plant is light-loving but also shade-tolerant, prefers moderate moisture and garden soils. The variety is characterized by high yields—about 154 centners per hectare, and an adult tree can produce up to 50 kg of fruits. Blooming occurs in spring, and fruit ripening happens in September, allowing for use during the autumn period. The "Autumn Souvenir" variety is recommended for cultivation in the Krasnodar Krai, where it demonstrates good yield and fruit quality indicators. Despite the variety's frost hardiness being rated as unsatisfactory for the central region (up to -25°C), it possesses good winter hardiness and can withstand moderate frosts. The fruits tolerate storage well, with a duration that can reach up to six weeks, making the variety attractive for long-term use and marketing. Thanks to its taste qualities, large fruits, and ability for long-term storage, "Autumn Souvenir" is a valuable variety for gardeners and plum lovers.
