YELLOW CANDY PEPPER

Yellow Candy pepper is a medium-maturing sweet pepper variety recommended primarily for cultivation in plastic greenhouses. The plant is of medium height, semi-spreading, with low-growing specimens ranging from 40 to 60 cm. Fruits are flat-round or spherical, weighing from 30 to 50 grams, with a smooth surface and thick flesh measuring 3 to 7 mm. In technical maturity, fruit color varies from green to yellowish-green, while in biological maturity it turns bright yellow. Due to its sweet taste and attractive appearance, this variety is especially popular among children.

Cultivation of Yellow Candy pepper begins with sowing seeds for seedlings in early March, with planting depth up to 1 cm. Pinching is performed at the cotyledon stage, and transplanting into the ground occurs at the end of May, following a 30x40 cm planting scheme. To promote better development of main fruits, it is recommended to remove all side shoots and leaves until the first fork. Yield per plant ranges from 0.8 to 1 kg. It is important to avoid planting sweet and hot pepper varieties together to prevent cross-pollination and maintain the sweet flavor of the fruits.
