Curly Head

Cabbage of the Curly Head variety is an old-fashioned variety with flat-rounded large heads of blue-green color and dense wrapper leaves. Heads reach a diameter of 25-30 cm, and under optimal growing conditions, the weight is from 5 to 6 kg. Heads are distinguished by high density, crunchy and tender structure with a fine texture, which makes this variety especially valuable for preparing sauerkraut and other culinary purposes. The variety is well stored and retains its qualities for a long time.

This cabbage variety is distinguished by high cold hardiness and can withstand low temperatures, which allows it to retain commercial and organoleptic properties until the first frosts. Curly Head is suitable for growing in various climatic conditions, including arid and hot regions, where large, dense cabbages weighing about 5 kg are formed during a vegetative period of up to 160 days. With proper care, the yield can reach up to 8 kg per square meter.

Cabbage is rich in vitamins C, A, B1 and calcium, which makes it a useful and nutritious product. It is easily frozen, becoming tastier and less bitter. The variety is recommended for long-term storage and winter preparations, but to maintain the quality of the heads, they should be harvested before frost. Cabbage leaves have a distinct greenish tint, and in cross-section are almost white, which indicates the high quality of the vegetable.
