Pepper VELEZ

Engineering approach to yield: the anatomy of the "Velez" pepper

Breeding from Enza Limited is focused on achieving the maximum marketable yield per square meter. The "Velez" pepper is a professional hybrid where every fruit parameter is the result of calculated genetic decisions ensuring stability in intensive farming conditions.

Fruit morphology and mass potential

The core technological advantage of "Velez" lies in the ratio of its linear dimensions and tissue density. With dimensions of 22x6 cm, the pepper features a distinct trapezoidal shape, which significantly simplifies the packaging and stacking processes during industrial harvesting. A fruit mass of 400–500 grams combined with an 8–9 mm wall thickness places this hybrid in the premium segment for the fresh produce market.

• Biological value: the intense red color at full maturity indicates a high concentration of carotenoids and sugars.
• Technology: the wall thickness of up to 9 mm ensures excellent shelf life and transportability, which is critical for long-distance logistics.
• Ripening period: the 110–120 day vegetative period allows for scheduled shipments, guaranteeing predictable results when following agricultural best practices.

Choosing the "Velez" hybrid from Enza Limited is a commitment to harvest geometry, where powerful genetics provide not only impressive dimensions but also benchmark product quality that meets the demands of modern supermarket chains.
