Valahia

Valahia pepper variety is a mid-early hybrid developed by Ukrainian breeders, characterized by high yield and versatility in cultivation. The ripening period is approximately 100-104 days, allowing its use both in open and protected soil. Plants are medium-height, strong and compact, with good leaf coverage, which facilitates efficient space utilization and maintenance.

Valahia pepper fruits have a wide-conical shape, reaching 10-14 cm in length and weighing from 110 to 200 grams, depending on growing conditions. In technical ripeness, they are light-yellow, and in biological ripeness — bright red. The flesh is dense, juicy and sweet, with walls 6-7 mm thick, ensuring excellent taste qualities and making this variety popular for fresh consumption as well as for canning. The pepper has an attractive appearance and good transportability.

Valahia variety is resistant to Fusarium wilt and viral diseases, and tolerates cold and temperature fluctuations well. These traits ensure prolonged fruit freshness and make the variety popular among farmers and consumers. High yield allows harvesting up to 28-35 tons per hectare, making Valahia a profitable choice for commercial cultivation.
